A collection of my thoughts from various threads – but all roughly related to renewable energy, carbon reduction and living in a world with scarcer resources.

Hi Ted,
I am in Carmel,Gwynedd and thinking of having a wind turbine on the farm.
I’ve had a techniucal report from Kite consulting via farming connect and the
anemometer has been in place for a few days. I have had to site the proposed
turbine on land away from the house and thus will not be able to make any use of
the elec generated, all will go to the grid. I am now thinking about what turbine to
purchase hence my message. A mate has installed a Proven 6kw and it has
generated 10.000kwh over the past 12months ?. It is located not far away .
I propose to install a 10/11 kw turbine and am drawn to the Proven 35-2 10.5 kw.
However, I’ve just seen some disturbing comments about Proven which you were
involved with going back to 2007. Just thought if you could give me an update.
Kite suggested Evoco but despite being a UK comp these turbines are manu
in China ?. Any views, suggestions, recomm welcome.
